Generation Not Working

What to do when your visualization fails or produces poor results.

Here are the most common generation issues and how to resolve them.

"Insufficient tokens" error

You've run out of tokens. You can purchase additional tokens from your Account, or subscribe to a token plan for a monthly allowance. If you believe your balance is wrong, try refreshing the page — sometimes the balance takes a moment to sync.

Generation fails or times out

If a generation fails, no tokens are charged. Try again — most failures are temporary. If failures persist: check your internet connection, try a smaller image file, or try a simpler prompt.

Results look nothing like my prompt

  • Simplify your prompt — very long prompts can confuse the AI
  • Be more specific about the single most important change you want
  • Make sure your uploaded photo is well-lit and clearly shows the space
  • Try a different camera angle or aspect ratio setting

Colors look wrong in the generation

Color accuracy improves with specific product selection. Instead of prompting "blue walls", select a specific paint product from the catalog — the AI will reference the actual product color.

HEIC images from iPhone cameras can sometimes cause upload issues. If you're having trouble, share the photo to Homeform directly from your camera app, which converts it automatically.
